Process
Our approach to ongoing financial planning rests on the foundation of a five-pillar process.
GATHER
We undertake a detailed process of discovery to establish your goals, circumstances, opportunities, and risks.
ANALYZE
We utilize specialized software performing modular analysis to establish where gaps and shortfalls exist, as well as defining probabilities of success.
PRESENT
We generate a comprehensive financial plan coupled with recommendations to help navigate clients from where they are to where they want to be.
IMPLEMENT
We facilitate execution on advice given, serving as a catalyst to make it all happen.
MONITOR
We review ongoing progress; course-correct where necessary; and annually revisit the process.
To accomplish this five-pillar process, we will meet on a regular basis, with a greater number of meetings in the initial year as an initial financial plan is developed and then presented, accompanied by additional meetings to execute on recommendations made. Periodic meetings will continue during each year thereafter, with no meeting being less than six months apart, the cadence of meeting intervals being determined by you.
As the following graphics illustrate, the process can be divided into two stages:
(1) the initial plan design, creation, and delivery (including strategic action plan recommendations); and (2) ongoing financial planning.
The latter stage includes providing assistance with taking action on recommendations made; gathering each year for two core, tentpole meetings dedicated to a plan update and an investment allocation review (including a review of investment performance, when ongoing investment management is in place); and meeting any other time(s) throughout the year as circumstances warrant (such a meeting purpose will invariably relate to one of many possible satellite planning issues—e.g., tax planning, spending decisions, education planning, charitable giving, etc.).
